Patti Music has been
in business since 1936 supplying the music community of Madison Wisconsin from our
venerable location on State Street between the University of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin
State Capitol. Our logo portrays the classical Wisconsin Sandstone facade of our
1895 headquarters, one of the first buildings on this famous street.
Our specialty is sheet music, particularly piano and organ classical repertoire
and keyboard methods. In the 1970's we inaugurated our first mail-order catalog
reflecting our specialty and over the years we have grown and grown serving the
needs of the piano and organ teacher and performer all across North America and
the World. As a result, in 2002 we were finally forced to move to larger and more
modern quarters, but still here in our home town of Madison.
Our goal is three-fold:
1) Within our area of
specialization we endeavor to offer as comprehensive a list as possible. Thus we
have the complete series of over 60 different piano and organ methods, we have all
the major piano libraries, we have the complete 2004-2006 National Federation list,
as well as thousands of supplementary sheets, ensemble offerings, seasonal titles
and pedagogical materials. We now carry over 35,000 titles, 17,000 of which are
listed in our catalog, all oriented to the keyboard teacher and performer.
Having a title on hand is not enough. We don't think you should have to plan ahead
for us, we think we should plan ahead for you. So we carry our inventory in depth,
that is, enough to fill any anticipated order with no quantity limits.
2) We long ago committed
ourselves to being a discount catalog. That is, we endeavor to offer a discount
on nearly every title in our catalog. Instead of an across the board percentage,
we took the far more laborius approach of examining each and every title and calculating
the maximum discount we could give based on our cost and turnover. The result is
right there in our catalog, line by line,

always an easy to see comparison. Though the amount of discount varies, up to a
full 30%, nearly every title has some savings to pass on to you.
3) We know that when
you order from us, it is because you need what you are ordering, you want
it now, not sometime later. So we are committed to same day shipment on almost all
orders on almost all days. Chances are if your order is received here by midafternoon,
it will go out that same day. In addition we look at each order, zipcode by zipcode
and select the best method of shipment so as to ensure the earliest possible arrival.
Our standard experience is 1-3 days from date of order. Along with quick delivery
we know you want economical shipping. After all you can't teach or play with a S&H
charge. For this reason we have kept our shipping charges at or below our cost and
we base them as the shipping companies do--that is, how far the shipment must go.
We also don't penalize larger orders, we reward them. Our S&H fee is a flat
charge no matter how large your order is, 1 pound or 100 pounds, you pay $6.45 to
$7.45, that's it!!
