Description: An exercise in the rhythm of today.
Purpose: It was written at the request of one of my beginning students.
Suggestions for Instruction: Counting is most important. Point out that each new idea is played three times, then always returns to a familiar one, like a rondo. This helps the student's memory. Each idea is played mf, then p, then mf. If the student has a hand that is big enough, the last note in the left hand (m.37) could be played as an octave.
*Eric played this at Spring Recital with only eight months of piano!
Key: C Major.
